As a company committed to innovation and uplifting new and exciting voices, BMP is always looking for artists working in all disciplines across opera, theatre, and performance. Additionally, the PROTOTYPE Festival accepts submissions of fully-produced, completed work for programming consideration in a future Festival.

2026 SINGER GENERAL AUDITIONS

Submit a prescreening for the opportunity to be invited to in-person auditions on Friday, March 30, 2026 at OPERA America – The National Opera Center (330 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10001).

Prescreening Requirements:

Please submit the following materials through this form:
• Resume in PDF form, titled LastNameFirstName_BMPAudition
• An aria of your choice (up to 5 minutes in length) in English from the 21st century.
• Prescreening Submissions are due by Saturday, January 31, 2026

In-Person Audition Information:

All in-person auditions are by appointment only and will be scheduled following prescreening. Singers will be notified of their acceptance, and time slot, for an in-person audition by Friday, February 27, 2026.

• Date & Time: Friday, March 30, 2026, 10am-6pm
• Location: OPERA America – The National Opera Center (330 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY 10001)
• Each audition will last 10 minutes. Please prepare two arias both of which must have been written 21st century.
• An accompanist will be provided.
