Composer Garrett Fisher's music-driven theatrical and film world combines opera, dance, Indian raga, Noh theater and film which The New York Times describes as "fusions that have both a ritualistic intensity and an improvisatory freedom...a groundbreaking hybrid...a strong, unified and strikingly individual utterance of unambiguous beauty." Based on a collaborative process that allows performers their own interpretations, his pieces cohesively integrate a diversity of influences that dey an specific genre or tradition. Garrett has created than 12 full-length multimedia pieces that have been premiered in Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, and Cologne, Germany. Wall Street Journal critic Brett Campbell writes: "Among American composers of his generation, Garrett stands out because of the way he's assimilated such diverse global musical and other artistic influences into a distinctive, original, yet listener-friendly sound. And he's successfully created a strong collaborative process for making multimedia productions that may be a sustainable model for independent twenty-first-century American composers. Librettist Ellen McLaughlin's plays have received numerous national and international productions. T.C.G/Fox Residency Grant -- for Ajax in Iraq, written for the A.R.T. Institute. She has taught playwriting at Barnard College since 1995. Other teaching posts include Breadloaf School of English, Yale Drama School and Princeton University, among others. Ms. McLaughlin is also an actor. She is most well known for having originated the part of the Angel in Tony Kushner's Angels in America, appearing in every U.S. production from its earliest workshops through its Broadway run.

Director Rachel Dickstein is an award-winning director, writer, and producer of movement-based theatre, and serves as artistic director of Ripe Time, a theatre company devoted to creation and production of ensemble-based adaptations from literature. Her work includes the critically acclaimd Sleep, based on Haruki Marakami and created with Naomi Iizuka (BAM Next Wave Festival, Yale Rep No Boundaries, Annenberg Center/Penn). The World is Round, based on Gertrude Stein and created with Heather Christian (BAM-Fisher, Obie Award, Special Citation, finalist for 2014 Richard Rodgers Award); Septimus and Clarissa, adapted by Ellen McLaughlin from Virgina Woolf's Mrs. Dalloway (Joe A. Calloway, Drama Desk, and Drama League nominations); and In What Language? by MacArthur Award winning composer Vijay Iyer and spoken word artist Mike Ladd (Asia Society, PICA, REDCAT.) Rachel made her LA Opera directing debut in 2017 with Thumbprint, an opera by Kamala Sankaram (previously staged with BMP's PROTOTYPE Festival.) Upcoming work includes: Desire by Hannah Lash at the Miller Theatre at Columbia, and Obasute by Garrett Fisher and Ellen McLaughlin at Prototype 2020. Sleep will be featured production in the USITT exhibition at the Prague Quadrennial in 2019. Steven Osgood (music director) has conducted the world premieres of over two dozen operas, including Sumeida’s Song, The Scarlett Ibis and Thumbprint for the PROTOTYPE Festival. Other notable premieres include As One, The Long Walk (Beck/Fleischman), Breaking the Waves (Mazzoli/ Vavrek), and JFK (Little/Vavrek). He has been the Conductor Mentor for Washington National Opera’s American Opera Initiative, leading the premieres of six of their commissioned works. His conducting credits include L’Opera de Montreal, New York City Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Atlanta Opera, Opera Memphis, Opera Columbus, Manhattan School of Music, and the Juilliard School. He has been on the music staff of the Metropolitan Opera since 2006.

As Artistic Director of American Opera Projects from 2001 to 2008 he created the company’s prestigious Composers & the Voice fellowship program which has fostered the careers of over 50 composers and librettists. Osgood has been General and Artistic Director of the Chautauqua Opera Company since 2016. The company’s 2019 season included Chautauqua’s first festival weekend, featuring performances of Il Barbiere di Siviglia, ¡Figaro! (90210) and The Ghosts of Versailles on three consecutive days. Chautauqua Opera’s 2020 season will include Tosca, Kamala Sankaram’s Thumbprint, and The Mother Of Us All.

Ken Cerniglia (dramaturg) collaborated with Garrett Fisher on several new works, including Passion Trilogy, Monticello Wakes, Kocho, and Psyche. As Disney Theatrical’s resident dramaturg and literary manager for 16 years, Ken Developed over 70 shows for professional, amateur, and school productions, including Freaky Friday, Aladdin, The Hunch back of Notre Dame, Peter and the Star catcher, Newsies, The Little Mermaid, High School Musical, and Tarzan. He has adapted many of Disney’s Broadway scripts for young performers and co-created a new series of one-act plays featuring Marvel characters. Other dramaturgical work includes Hades town (Broadway, National Theatre London, Edmonton Citadel, New York Theatre Workshop); Bud, Not Buddy and OLIVERio (Kennedy Center); and Bridges (Berkeley Playhouse). He co-wrote the book for the new musical Atlantis(music and lyrics by Matthew Lee Robinson), which recently premiered at Virginia Repertory Theatre. Ken is immediate past president of Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas(LMDA), co-founder of the American Theatre Archive Project, artistic director of Two Turns Theatre Company, and editor of Peter and the Starcatcher: The Annotated Broadway Play and Newsies: Stories of the Unlikely Broadway Hit. He holds a Ph.D.in theater history and criticism from the University of Washington.

Yuki Nakase Link is a Japanese lighting designer for performing arts and fashion productions. Maiko Matsushima (costume designer) is a Japan-born, Philadelphia-based visual artist, costume/scenic designer and theater faculty at Bryn Mawr College. Her designs have been seen at Philadelphia’s The Wilma Theater, Headlong, BalletX, Pig Iron Theater Co. as well as Broadway productions such as Spring Awakening, Radio Golf, Lestat, Assassins, Good Body and Pacific Overtures as an associate costume designer. After working as a theatrical designer in Tokyo, NYC and regional theaters around the U.S. for over two decades, Matsushima is now joined with David Brick, a co-founder of Headlong, in creating publicly engaged art. Daniel Neumann is a Brooklyn-based sound artist, organizer and audio engineer. He holds a masters degree in media art from the Academy of Visual Art Leipzig and studied electronic music composition. Neumann’s practice engages hybrid installation-performance formats to explore how sound interacts with space and how spaces can be shaped by sound. He thinks of sound as an interdisciplinary field enabled by audio procedures. Neumann’s works have been presented at Pinacoteca Bellas Artes Universidad de Caldas, Loop Barcelona, Moss Arts Center Blacksburg VA, Fergus McCaffrey Gallery, MoMA PS1, Knockdown Center, Pratt Institute, Eyebeam, Sculpture Center, Fridman Gallery and many other venues.

As a curator, Neumann runs CT::SWaM (http://ctswam.org), an event series that engages in spatial sound works and focused listening. In September 2016 he co-curated 9 Evenings + 50 at Fridman Gallery. As a sound engineer, Neumann is the acoustic designer of The World Is Sound at the Rubin Museum and head engineer for Blank Forms, Alarm Will Sound, Diamanda Galás and David Guetta. In 2013-16, he was the head engineer for live events at MoMA PS1.

Erik Sanko (puppet designer) is co-founder and co-artistic director of Phantom Limb Company serving primarily as composer and puppet designer/maker. He has always been fascinated by how both puppetry and music obliquely appeal to people on a purely emotional plane and continues to explore this intersection.
