OPERAFEST LA 2026

OperaFest LA returns in April and May 2026, revitalizing the city-wide celebration of boundary-pushing vocal theater. Originally launched in 2024 to coincide with the World Opera Forum, the festival serves as a high-definition spotlight on the rich, diverse, and unapologetically experimental opera landscape of Los Angeles.
OperaFest LA brings together leading companies including Beth Morrison Projects, LA Opera, Long Beach Opera, Overtone Industries, Pacific OperaProject, REDCAT, Synchromy, The Industry, The Wallis, and USC, showcasing the incredible breadth of operatic voices and visions that define LA’s artistic identity.
BMP at the Forefront: Performance of Self
As a leading force in the festival, Beth Morrison Projects is proud to present the debut solo show from Grammy-nominated artist Jodie Landau. In Performance of Self, Landau weaves a deeply personal "chamber rock" memoir that perfectly embodies the spirit of OperaFest: a daring fusion of identity, genre, and virtuosic storytelling.
