THE TRANSDIARIES

A world-class touring ensemble of trans/gnc/intersex people performs a staged/choreographed cabaret of pop and art songs, monologues and short scenes exploring trans experience, or the lack or desire of one; and the new issues and opportunities that have been presented for personhood, relationships and society.

CREATOR STATEMENT

No one has shared these stories. They have been taboo to discuss. These are deeply personal accounts that explicitly recall mental, physical and spiritual experiences including gender dysphoria, phantoms in the brain, transitioning from incongruence to congruence, recovering from surgery and more. We are taking back our trans bodies; our right and privilege to talk about them and to explore them. In public. Sharing these intimate experiences will take the form of a staged cabaret with monologues, songs and short scenes that will make it accessible to invite the world to an entertaining experience that will have deep relevance. — LINDSEY DEATON
